I recieved mine yesterday and Dang, I think it is going to be a great piece! I have been playing on ESP's for awhile now and bought the ART100 to kind of broaden my tonal spectrum, I guess. I briefly owned an ESP EC-50, which is ESP's cheapest Les Paul copy. It sure felt cheap compared to the ART100, which I guess could be an unfair comparison because the EC-50 can be had for almost $100 less, but the EC's just don't come close unless you get up to the EC-500. Then your talking $650. So, I think that for the money, what you get out of the ART100 is just Awesome. I know my next guitar purchase will more than likely be an ARX of some kind because I think the ART100 has sold me on Ibanez. Just my opinion!!

The ART100 is an amazing guitar for the price. For 2008, we have three colors:

BLACK (BK)

SILVER (SV)

WHITE (WH)

For $399.99 List, they are very tough to beat!

What are the neck specs for this guitar?

Nut width?

Radius?

Profile?

It looks like a great little guitar for the money. Thanks.

Hey jmgruber,
Here are some specs on the ART100:

Neck Dimension
Scale 628mm/24.75"
a : Width at Nut 43mm
b : Width at Last Fret 58.5mm
c: Thickness at 1st 20mm
d : Thickness at 12th 22.5mm
Radius 305mmR

Hope this helps...
For spencer1570 asking opinions: I really like this little guitar! It has a great feel, looks sweet (I don't want to get in the middle of THAT debate!) ...and sounds wicked. I'm impressed. I even went out & got an ART300 to compare... more about that in another thread...
My wife says she'll leave me if I buy 1 more guitar....
I'm sure gonna miss her.

It's a quite light model, just the tone is heavy, from rock to metal sounds.
I really like the shape of this artist and my favorite color is the silver limited one.

Yeah, I don't have a scale, but it's small, & not very heavy. I use mostly Artcores, but I really like these ART's I have now... I find myself using them more & more. They're little & quick but they sound fat & dirty.

I am loving my new Silver ART100. I bought to play in a band that is NOT very heavy sound wise. The tonal spectrum of this guitar is Very cool for an out of the box, $300 guitar. I now am back to playing my Metal music and the Pickups are not quite as heavy as I would like. My main guitar (ESP Viper 200FM) has EMG HZ4's in the neck and bridge. I am REALLY enjoying how the ART plays and would like to make my main guitar, but I can't make up my mind on a pickup. Does anyone have a recommendation on a PASSIVE pickup for the ART100 that makes for some HEAVY distortion?? Thanks.

New to playing guitar and im thinking of making the art100 my 1st buy. This may sound stupid, but whats up with it not having inlays on the neck? Just somthing i should get use too or?

"what's up" is just a style thing. The fretboard inlays are definitely helpful but it has no bearing on anything substantial, just the aesthetics of the fretboard.

There are almost certainly small dots on the side of the fretboard, so you could use those.

Congrats and good luck! Clap

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but I figured it'd be better to bring this one up than to start a new one, talking about the same thing. But anyway, moving on

I was just wondering.. how articulate are the pickups in this thing compared to the INF's? When I had an RG321MH I noticed that the notes didn't really ring out very well at all in it, compared to the stock ones in my Schecter Omen anyway.
