I am working on an assignment in my principles of advertising class where I basically create a mock campaign for a product. I chose to do mine over Ibanez XPT guitars. I chose this because usually when I think of Ibanez I see a guitar like the RG Series. The XPT guitars seem like a fresh, great looking take on guitars. But enough about that. As the beginning of the project I must complete some research so I am hoping some people will help answer these questions for me.
What do you like about the Ibanez brand? Why do you choose Ibanez over other brands?
What do you like, or dislike about the XPT guitars?
What television are you watching? If Ibanez was to promote on television what channels would you hope to see these advertisements(hoping for atleast 3 answers)?
What bands are you listenining to, or what is your preferred style of music?
If you take the time to help me I thank you so much, this is going to be a long drawn out assignment and I need all the help I can get.

What do you like about the Ibanez brand?I like there designs, the quality of product they make, the heritage of the company, as well as being a huge fan of a good chunk of their current and past endorsees. Not to mention, in my opinion, they make some of the best sounding, most comfortable playing guitars out there. Why do you choose Ibanez over other brands?They have a unique feel compared to other brands, as well as use innovative proprietary hardware that I find to be great in comparison to other brands. I also like the value of their guitars. What do you like, or dislike about the XPT guitars?My primary dislike of the XPT series is the gloss finish on the back of the neck, but having owned an XPT707, it wasn't too bad, just not my first choice, as I prefer satin finish on the back of my guitar necks. Other than that, I like nearly everything about the XPT. They sound great, thanks to a solid mahogany body, and Dimarzio D-Activator pickups, a great combination. As for quality, they are pretty good considering their Indonesian manufacture. I'm quite interested in the 27-fret Xiphos. What television are you watching? If Ibanez was to promote on television what channels would you hope to see these advertisements(hoping for atleast 3 answers)?The channels I primarily watch are: Discovery (Mythbusters, The Colony, Time Warp, various specials) USA (Law & Order, House) Tru TV (Anything about forensics) What bands are you listenining to, or what is your preferred style of music?I prefer the heavier styles of music, such as the various forms of Metal. Though I also really enjoy both Progressive and Jazz. Hope that helps you out man.

What do you like about the Ibanez brand? Why do you choose Ibanez over other brands?
I have purchased Ibanez products for decades now, at the time being this mfg actually got it in regards to what the player wanted. They offered great guitars at reasonable prices with many options usually only seen on more expensive guitars. Some of these options allowed my band to cover more music due to the options I had with both single coil and humbucking pickups. When I purchased my first RG550 it was around 600.00 (estimated) and the craftsmanship was equal to American brands at twice the price.
What do you like, or dislike about the XPT guitars?
I personally do not like the body style of these guitars and it depends on the actual guitar if I would purchase it at all. I am a huge fan of Made in Japan guitars although I do not think this guitar is mfg in Japan. I also dislike the tremolo on this or any guitar; although this can be easily fixed by blocking the bridge.
What television are you watching? If Ibanez was to promote on television what channels would you hope to see these advertisements(hoping for at least 3 answers)?
I watch educational TV like stuff on the Military Channel, Animal Planet, Nat Geo, almost any show; TV is always on but its more for back ground noise rather than actually watching TV.
What bands are you listening to, or what is your preferred style of music?
TV in the back ground. As for music I really do listen to everything from Bach to Floyd. My band covers material from the late 60's to the early 90's.

What do you like, or dislike about the XPT guitars?I like the unique shape,the chameleon colors and the combo of the edge3 and dimarzios.What i don't like is tat none are made in Japan though i have nothoing asainst indo guitars. If Ibanez was to promote on television what channels would you hope to see these advertisements(hoping for atleast 3 answers)?I watch alot of Comedy Central,vh1 classic and adult swim.i would like to see them on a music channel such as vh1 or mtv. What bands are you listenining to, or what is your preferred style of music?Metal,and my favorite sub-genre would be power metal.

Why do you choose Ibanez over other brands?Because they are superior to other brands in all the stated things above. And once you've played a Prestige or other MIJ Ibanez, there's no turning back! What do you like, or dislike about the XPT guitars?I really like the design, but I really don't like the Wizard II necks, the reversed sharktooth inlays and the fact that they aren't MIJ. I would like to see some cooler colour options like WK or BKF and not just those --ish finishes. What television are you watching? The only thing I can't stand is music where 90% of the song either contains YO! or and autotuner. The favorites are Dream Theater, Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, Scar Symmetry, Symphony X, Muse just to name a few.
