I have found alot of Original Edge's and Lo-pro Schematics. I cannot seem to find one of the Edge pro so I can have a proper list and names of items. Would you guys happen to know of a link to get a copy of it? I am also curious are the chrome looking things that are located at the end of the saddle that go under the strings replaceable or do you have to replace the whole saddle? Do they ever wear out during normal use?

I've never come across one of those "exploded" style schematics for the Edge Pro, but for the most part all the parts have the same name. A trem post is a trem post, a fine tuner is a fine tuner, and so on.

As for the "Sound Metal Chips" (the name of those polished looking inserts on the saddles), they are not meant to be replaceable. I'm sure with a pair of pliers and some effort one could "replace" them, but it's not meant to be so. Though, like most locking bridge saddles, they don't really wear down. The ones on my Edge Pro 7 equipped UV777PBK have just about zero wear on them after about three years of heavy use. I don't seem them breaking out of the blue one day.

Ok thanks MAX. I was wondering due to the Original Edge I had and the saddle issue I came across with the loss of sustain. The "Sound Metal Chips" look to be chrome plated or heat treated of some sort( I took a real good look at them again in pic I had). I would imagine by doing that it would defeat any wear at that area.
I figured out that most of the Items were the same, I was just curious about the string locking area if it has locking blocks that may fall out like in the others. I think what I will do is when It arrives I will take it apart to clean it up and then I will catalog the items that are unique to this trem. Thanks again

The saddles assembly is the only truly unique part about the Edge Pro.

You might want to read through this.

Don't worry about those silly "sound chips". I think they're a gimmick that Ibanez used to differentiate their (acually Gotoh's) design from the Floyd Rose's so they didn't have to pay royalties. Notice that the new trems don't have them.
