hi

My friend has bought a similar Ibanez guitar to the Ibanez GRG 170DX and i was wondering that the Fat 10 bridge on the guitar, can you pull it up and down like a floyd Rose. Ive heard that you can pull it up and down like a Floyd Rose but i need some sort of answer that will tell me if it can or it cant.

if anyone can give me any info that would be useful.

if it's the trem unit i'm thinking of (the 2-point Wilkinson clone), then no.
you can abuse it a bit more than a standard trem, but not like a Floyd. even then the thing's not going to stay in tune to save it's life, unless you invest in some locking tuners.

Yes, you can both dive and pull up on a FAT10 bridge. Won't stay in tune much though. Those types of bridge never do without modifications.
