I've never seen one, or heard of one for that matter, I know that's a real nice color and have heard this question before. Though I don't think a CO ever existed. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. You might just have to go through the catalogs.

I'm sure one of the S-guys will be able to answer this better.

Thanks anyhow... Back in the late 80's, it makes me believe that the S and the RG departments were separate, regardless if the Fujigen Cafe and Paint Shop were a central point by all employees. You'd think that a few body's might have crossed borders...

I agree, especially with a matching headstock!

That's why I don't want to say no, back then it wasn't too weird to have a few small spot runs when certain parts/supplies were either running low or overstocked.

I remember seeing some kind of S series a few years back, like 3 or 4 or 5, in my local guitar shop. It was orange, I dont know if I'd say Carotene Orange, but it was orange.

The closest I can think of would be the FGM100 in Pink Salmon - but these babies are usually a bit more pricey when they pop up for sale:
'07 Ibanez RG8470F FE, '03 Ibanez RG3120TW, '94 Ibanez S540CG
'07 EBMM Axis PBB; '10 PRS Cu24 LTD; '91(?) Lag Hardline; '94 Lag Rockline
