Hello.New proud owner of a used,in excellent condition, 4 string btb with the QMTR top.The previous owner,really took care of it.
Really,REALLY,good sounding,feeling and,PLAYING bass guitar.
I have had a pretty tough time,figuring this serial number thing out.However,i do believe i have it licked now.
Feel free to tell me if my research is faulty.
The back of the headstock reads made in korea.so thats 1 down.
The serial # reads. WY21154
SO W MEANS-WORLD = KOREA.
Y MEANS = NOVEMBER.
THEN 2 MEANS = 2002.
AND 1154 MEANS = 1154TH GUITAR PRODUCED THAT MONTH.
I actually had to work at it to find that -y- meant november.
Anyway,i had a peavey dyna bass in a rare like sea foam green,that was the best guitar of any kind,that i have ever owned.
I foolishly traded it in on a pretty bubinga topped guitar at guitar center.
2 weeks later,i wake up to the fact,that i have been suckered by a pretty face and,my dyna bass was so much a better guitar.
I break all kind of laws rushing back to guitar center to trade this thing back for my dyna bass.
When i get there,MY BABY IS LONG GONE. -- DEVASTATION.
I have been hoping to see that unusual sea foam green peavey somewhere,but no luck.
BUT,IM TELLING YOU,THIS BTB IS IMPRESSING ME.
It just feels so good and,sounds however i want it to.this is a really,really sweet bass.fits me so well.
I AM A ROTOSOUND SWING BASS 66 GUY.
According to ups,my shipment will be here monday from musicians friend. i am curious to see how they feel on this ibanez.this is my first ibanez bass and,i think i got a great one.
Im thinking i will get another one at one of my local music superstores and,end the search for my beloved dyna bass.she aint ever comin home.But,i think i maybe have a new friend to help me get over the pain of my stupidity.
NOW,IF I CAN JUST GET ANOTHER BTB IN GREAT CONDITION,IT WILL BE MY CHRISTMAS PRESENT TO MYSELF.
