well thank you ibanez for not making my wishes come true ;) but in all honesty, ibanez has done a pretty good job of improving over the last 3 years. I for one, am OK with the golden age models remaining golden age models because they retain more meaning that way. i think its more satisfying find a good deal on an old S540 or RG550 from 20 years ago, then spending $1000+ on a new one today. different generation = different guitars, i am very happy with the new goodies ibanez has for us this winter ill take that J custom now :)

Hey, They are starting to sell the new 2010 models in Japan. I found out the "D" in RGD stands for "dimension" or so they say on the Japanese sites. Just to let you know.

it's official: (from the eu 2010 catalogue) more new models can be found on www.ibanez.de - they postet all the new poop, but not the two RGA prestiges yet. you will find the DARKSTONE with the purple finish, the new RGD series, an RGA 8 string (non-prestige) and so on though on that website, so go and take a look. my ibanez gear:RGT220Z NT prestige S5470 TKS prestige ART500DVS custom

Check out Ikebe and you can see some pretty cool photos of actual guitars they have in stock. The RGAs look awesome, especially that one in PRT colour http://voo-du.blogspot.com/

thx.
i will defo go for the RGA7 prestige and the RGA8 in 2010...i think having a non-prestige 8 string in stock isn't really the worst idea for guys like me that want to get into playing 8 strings without paying a huge amount of money. i am into paying a huge amount of money for that RGA7 prestige though. ;)

What are we looking at? It looks like a couple of the new RGD guitars, but cannot make out any features, other than there is that edge zero again.
Are you talking about what looks like a RGA8 with a tremolo (the purple RGA in the middle?) that was my first thought too, the switch position is pretty similar too, compare it with my first maverick f1

Off topic, but those Mavericks are pretty cool. Those knobs look awesome and I bet their placement is functional, too. They look like they would be easy to adjust there.
Henceforth I ask not good-fortune, I myself am good-fortune.

I always wanted to get a hold of a Mav, but they rarely pop up for sale, and I've yet to see one for sale in the US. Beware, as it is a 45MB file to download - but the 2010 catalog popped up at the website of the German Ibanez distributor. Enjoy. http://meinldistribution.com/fileadmin/medien/Kat_PRL2010/Ibanez_Katalog_E_2010.pdf '07 Ibanez RG8470F FE, '03 Ibanez RG3120TW, '94 Ibanez S540CG'07 EBMM Axis PBB; '10 PRS Cu24 LTD; '91(?)
