Hi all,

Been looking around for a TS9 or TS808 that I could justify buying.
All a bit expensive at the moment for me. So was looking for an alternative.

Probably not the best place to post this, it being an Ibanez forum an' all, but just picked up a new Behringer T0800 Tube Overdrive for £24.72 delivered and am well happy.
Its an obvious direct clone with 4558 IC and MA150 diodes deployed. I don't have a 'proper' Ibby screamer to do back to back, but from what I remember of the sound, this one is real close. Lovely tone from both Ibby semis, and my Les Paul. Yet to try on the Mexican strat the wife doesn't know I have.

Made of cr*ppy plastic, unlike the real thing, so won't last as long. For the price though its a real good deal IMHO.

I could have posted this in the effects section of this forum, but was interested in the opinions of the semi owners in particular.

All opinions (and abuse) welcomed ;-)
