I have been trying for the last 4 days to enter both of my designs. I tried sending them together, apart, without attachments. No luck.

The error message I always get is this:

Code:

I am sending it to: jem_design_contest@hoshinogakki.co.jp

Please help me. I normally never request assistance or anything. I was browsing the web and found out that some people just got lucky sending their through without the message appearing, which made me ask for help.

I guess I'm also wondering what's going to be done to make this a fair contest. It wouldn't be fair to the contestants nor to Steve Vai himself if a real winning design gets out of the competition due to a technical fault.

Thanks in advance,

Frank

Not quite sure what you expect these guys to do? I don't think they are in the habit of making long distance calls to Japan.

Well, an extension while problem is fixed wouldn't hurt anyone. :)

Yes, it would. But i meant your not talking to anybody on this forum who has anything to do with the competition. The competition is being held by Ibanez themselves, the Japanese company, who don't have any form of online forum that i know of. This forum is owned and run by a distributor of Ibanez guitars in the USA (one of two), not Ibanez themselves. These guys don't really have any say in what Ibanez are, or are not doing over there in Japan.

You need to contact Ibanez themselves, if you want some sort of response to your problem.

I've been trying to get this fixed for a bit...but like quija said...this is from the parent company...and unfortunately being the US guys...we can't fix it.

I do however know the word has been sent that this isn't working correctly.

I'll see what I can do but I doubt our guys here are able to make this work because its not directly from us.

Interestingly, I emailed my entry out around half an hour before the deadline and haven't had any evidence that it didn't get through...

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize that I was barking up the wrong tree here, heehee. Thanks anyways for the help. It's just that I was somewhat frustrated at the whole situation.

Suspect the mail server drive is full of big TIFF file enclosures or something similar.

550 error means the email addy does not exist on the server. I tried a few times and finally gave up also.
