Does Anyone have good pics of an AS93? Dizzy didn't you say your father have an AS93?

Since I have not gotten a reply from Jay (IBANEZ) about AS83's I'm really having a difficult time making a decision about what to do. I really want an AS93 TCR but they are not available in the US. I like Red guitars and have alway wanted a Red semi since surrendering a red Vox Super Lynx that I owned for a very short period of time to it's rightful owner some thirty years ago.

What's really difficult about this whole decision is that blue is my favorite color. But I have yet to see a blue (or single cut) Semi that I like except for this Gib$on ES-137 ($1800) It's a shame the AGS83 doesn't come in this color. I would have a Blue Ibanez Single Cut Semi-Hollow guitar

I've considered some serious upgrades to an AS73 TCR but the cost of gold hardware is nearly $200 It would cost just about as much an AS93 upgraded with Super58 pickups without the benefit of the 3 piece DX neck and flamed maple top and sides.

Suggestions anyone.

Nice looking guitar Rick. How were you able to add the image to your post?

When you are in editor mode click the the tool button with the sun and mountain...you will get a pair of flags with the letters "img" inside enclosed brackets []. Place the URL to the pic you want to post between the flags...press preview to be sure it works.

Thanks Spencer. If the finish really looks as good as this ES-137 I can live with Blue.

I think the blue finish on my AS93 is way nicer than the ES-137. Really beautiful figuring (flame) on the top.

RRAGUSE: I didn't know you were waiting for an answer, as I didn't know you had asked a question! My bad!

I think the questions was (going back to another thread), is the AS83 and AS93 identical except for finish and hw color.

The answer is yes. The AS83VLS had chrome HW. The AS93BLS has gold.

February 10, I started a thread "Question for Jay — Still in Production"

Yes you did answer this in the "Just had to ask" thread. You have answered all my questions, thank you. Since you are a distributor who better than you would have answers to questions regarding production and availability. I prefer fact to assumption. Thanks again.

Oh,yeah! Thank you Spencer4Hire, for you have just resolved my dilemma...AS83 or AS93. And the winner is Blue with Gold. Pictures of personal guitars are so much better than the sample pictures provided at the Ibanez website.

I agree wholeheartedly. Blue is definitely my favorite color.

I truly thank all whom posted the sample pics but Mr. S4H your guitar is stunning. I know, I know I have been going on and on, I'm going to do this or cannot make up my mind simply because an inventory of Artcores to look at are just not here in St Louis. There are two GC's and three Ibanez vendors that I know of and all they have is one or two AS73's, maybe an AF or AG or two and a slew of solid bodies. I bought my AM73 on advice from a few devoted AM lovers on this forum...and I'm glad I accepted their advice.

Good bye to Dottie

That is nice. Sometimes I find the colour of my AS103NT a little bland, but I live with it.

Congrats and enjoy!

Cheers,

Glenn

Rick, thanks for answering my question about posting pics. I'm still a little confused about the part where I insert the 'URL' of my pics via editor mode. My pics are on sd cards (as files which I can post as small attachments). Can you tell me how those pics relate to a URL, thanks again.

Hi BuppieJax, to post pics on the forum the pictures must be available somewhere on an internet webpage hence the URL (Uniform Resource Locator).

To post personal pictures you would need to open a free account with Photobucket or some other similar service.

http://photobucket.com/

If you want to post pics from websites, right click the picture of choice, select "Properties" from the context menu, select and copy the web address with your mouse pointer, then paste that address between the [img] URL [img] flags.

I hope I explained that clearly. That is my method, maybe someone else has an easier method.
