Just curious why the AEF37ETCS, and the entire AEF series was discontinued? I love the guitar; it has great acoustic and electric sound and plays like a dream. I can bar chords at every point of the neck with ease. I retired my 1967 Gibson Hummingbird, which was also a dream to play, but it wasn't electric, and choose the AEF37E because it plays great, sounds great and looks great, and it didn't break my bank account.

I'm also thinking that since it's discontinued, now would be a good time to order a full set of original replacement parts, before they're also discontinued.

So, bottom line is, why was the AEF series discontinued?

The AE37ETCS-1201 was manufactured from 11/2006 to 10/2008. I don't know why it was discontinued. Ibanez has typically discontinued a model and introduced a similar model in its place. For 2009, apparantly the entire AEF line has been discontinued. Maybe it will come back sometime in the future. Maybe not.

If you want to get some spare parts, you can check out the Ibanez parts website.
