So whens the next reissue? Is Ibanez gonna keep going or are we just going to stop with the 300? Are prices going to go down? If anyone can answer these thoughts in my brain, please do.

Perhaps at the next benchmark date (25th anniversary perhaps?) they'll release another PGM reissue, but I'm sure it's not set in stone. Perhaps even at the 30th?

I don't see prices of anything going down, unless we all wake up tomorrow with a fixed economy. Though, to be real, it's gonna be awhile until the Dollar and Yen are in a favorable balance to us Westerners again.

Thanks Max. Im just upset that we only got two reissues out of the 20th and I (and many others) wanted more/other PGM's for the reissues. As for the price yes thats very true and the discourse on that would be far too long and extrapolatingly gruesome for the Ibanez forum standard or any standard that likes to keep their forum constituents awake. But I/we can dream cant I/we?

First time poster here but I thought I would share some pics of my PGM
Paul was nice enough to autograph it for me a few days ago. Very nice guy and an awesome teacher.
He held a guitar clinic here and went over tips and techniques.

The Jewel Blue PGM 30 with Paul's signature is awesome. I am looking to buy a Jewel Blue one and add it to compliment my white PGM 30. The Japanese, Fujigen made PGM 30 is one of the best Ibanez's I have ever played. Granted it may not be the most expensive but the overall neck feel and playability is really amazing. My PGM 30 has been with me for 10 years now and has replace me Les Paul as my main axe everytime I perform.

Hey guys,

I have been looking at getting one of these but I am having a hard time deciphering the differences between the various models. There is some pretty wide variation on pricing on the used market. How can I tell what is a fair price? I have seen the following variations but there may be more.

PGM100
PGM200
PGM300
PGM800
PGM900

I am also looking at RG550's. Is it worth the extra $ to go with a PGM?

You also have the 100RE, 300RE, 301, 400, 401, 500, 600, 700, 1000, 10th, 90th 30, 3 and also the two Firemans. The difference in price is mostly due to how rare they are.

Original Ibanez PGM-100 JB or Reissue? I don´t know which one to choose...
They are both in the same price range put obviously the reissue is in
much better condition.

So... I would like to know the differences in woods, built quality etc.

I have a MIJ 1996 PGM-30 in Jewel Blue, it has Pauls signature on the back of the headstock. I moved the neck to my RG350 body with BKP Cold Sweats, it REALLY screams! I don't know what it'd be called... A PRGM? Whatever the case, it rocks!

The TRS II trem on the PGM-30 was absolutely awful, all of the strings were different heights and it was so rusty it was impossible to correct this. Every time I used the trem it felt like something was going to break...

However, now the neck is on a guitar with an awesome bridge and level strings I can honestly say it's the best neck I've ever played. To me it seems the MIJ PGM-30's were cheaper only because of the bridge and pickups, but everything else about them screams quality.

I'm sure I'll be swapping around necks and bodys and what have you for a while yet, I'm never satisfied... Well, I am, but only for short amounts of time. Whatever the case, I'll always be keeping an eye out for another PGM ;)
