I went so far as to take the cover off and look, but no numbers jump out at me. There was an alphanumeric code on the capacitor on the tone, but no idea what that is either, it didn't jump out and say "I am X mFd".

Kind of need to know if I have to buy new ones to match the recommendations from DiMarzio (already ordered the pickups, just waiting impatiently.

If you are changing the pickups, I would recommend matching pots to them. Chances are, the values recommended for the DiMarzio pickups are likely the same as the originals. In the event that they are different, it wouldn't make any sense to match the original pot values meant for the factory pickups if you are just changing them out anyway.

That being said, the original pots are 500K. This diagram matches what is in that GSRM20 mikro bass:

Hope this helps,

Thanks Bill that does help!

The recommendation was for 500k volumes, 250k tone with a .033 mFad capacitor.

So all I need is the tone pot and capacitor.

I suppose I could try it with the stock tone pot, and change it only if I find it too shrill, or try them both and see which I prefer.
