I've been trying to find out more about my guitar but there isnt much information.

One thing i noticed is that the serial number doesnt match what ive researched about the AE series.

(on guitar stamp)
AE Series Ibanez
Model No. AE500
Serial No. 91040165P

Is it real?
Is it a good quality guitar?
Is it worth anything nowadays?

Any help would be great,
Thanks Happy

This looks right to me. Unfortunately, I don't have any concrete info on the serial number structure of these guitars, but it doesn't look "fake" to me. The first 2 numbers likely indicate that it is from 1991. Here is the catalog page from 1991 showing this model:

As for the worth, I'm not 100% sure. I usually try to check ebay's sold listings to see what they might have recently gone for, but there are no recent results for this model. The closest one was an AE405 from the mid 80s that sold for less than $255(best offer accepted). Depending on the buyer and how much they value that guitar, I'd say you could probably get somewhere between $200 - $500. There aren't many of these in circulation, so an Ibanez collector 'may' be willing to pay more for it.

Hope this helps,
