I have an Ibanez GRG 06 ltd, which I've been using for either hard rock, heavy and power metal. What would be good split pickups to replace those Powersound?

Body: Agathis
Neck: maple, rosewood fingerboard
Pickups: Powersound I and II

You might have better luck getting some suggestions on a pickup forum like DiMarzio or Seymour Duncan's forum. That being said, I'd check out DiMarzio's website and listen to some sound samples of different pickups to see what you like best.

I don't think the body wood is going to play a large role in the sound for this model. I'd make a decision strictly based off of the sound characteristics of the pickups and see what sounds best. Chances are, you won't really be able to predict how it will sound with your amp/effects/guitar until you pull the trigger and try it out. From that point, you can determine if you want a more treble, or bass, or mids if you are trying to find a specific sound.

Hope this helps!
