The jack socket on my RG550 is not functioning and I want to remove it to fix/change. The problem is that it requires some kind of wrench to unscrew the thin nut inside the cavity and I don't know what type of wrench or tool is required. The cavity is quite small, and it looks like I'll have to unsolder the wires to get to the nut.

Sample photo provided.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Okay I got the jack out by loosening the nut with a 14mm wrench that loosely fit the nut, and then unscrewed using needle nosed pliers.

I replace those with Switchcraft jacks. It's a drop in replacement and it will last a whole lot longer.
