Its Korean, Samick, 1995 probably, sunburst. Dont own it yet, only deciding on purchase.









Really cant define the model, 400, 500?

I agree that it looks to be 1995 based on the serial number. This looks to be the SR500, since it has the scooped neck after the last fret. This 1995 catalog page seems to show it in that brown sunburst color:

This is listing the AFR pickups, but the pictures you posted don't seem to show any print on the pickups. It could have been a swap, or maybe just a spec change from 1995 that this one didn't have.

I managed to get rear body pic.
Is it typical for those models to have independent battery compartment, as They all seem to only have electronics cover, which also covers 9V battery.

Will attach file as soon as it is available.

I believe most of the basses from the 90s did NOT have a separate battery compartment. I could be wrong, but for the most part, the battery would have been stored in the main control cavity.

It seems that there's so many models (different manufacturers) of the 'limited' or 'special' run guitars/ basses produced for chain stores. The SR500 may have come out in other colors at GC or another big store?
