Took my RG3XXV down to bare wood,oiled it,replaced tone knob for a kill switch,installed F2(my fave pup)in bridge.Replaced red inlays for black.Now it will shred your momma's salad!Drool

Nice work. I like how you left the headstock black. Did the oil give you a hard finish? What kind of oil did you use?

Actually my friend did the oiling and the finish does feel rough which I like.After taking the red paint off of the headstock there was that black plastic.I dug it and went no further.Just ordered a custom headstock logo on ebay but the more I look at it I really just like it the way it is.Guitar stock was red with red inlays then I replaced inlays with black ones,then kill switch and snakeskin wrapped it:


Wrap then started peeling off and looked to 80's anyway.Bare wood is where it's at!
