Hi there. I'm a longtime guitarist who just bought his first Ibby, an AS93 -- I don't have it yet, waiting on GC to clear its used-guitar 30-day holdtime. I've been playing for 35 years, rock, jazz, and blues being my favorite styles with some dabbling in classical and folky fingerstyles.

Here's a couple of tracks from my Soundcloud; they're old demos from the 90s uploaded from cassette masters, so forgive the poor sound quality, please. The singing ain't so great, but hey, I'm a guitarist, not a singer, really:

... and here's the beaut I bought:

What's up all. I'm Jason. I have been playing guitar for almost 3 decades. Mostly owned all ibanez guitars. A few guitars i've owned have been others, but Ibanez guitars are my weakness, LOL. I do have an infatuation with ibanez guitars equipped with tremolo systems. Dance I'm from NEPA and signed up for the forum a while ago. I figured I can find some useful stuff around here.

Hey Gang, Steve here...just started playing last week but I'm pretty sure all of my stupid questions have been asked anonymously on another forum. I picked up an Ibanez GRX70 and a little Fender amp to get me started, so far so good. I'm pretty technical and hands on so I adjusted the action down, got it tuned and intonated but noticed a little buzz here and there...not a show stopper right now. Anyway I started learning some cords and stuff but realized I needed to work on my finger tips and finger strength and stretching, so that's where I'm at right now. Just in the last couple days I have noticed my ring finger is getting better at being independent, and my finger tips are getting pretty tough. Anyway I listen to everything from country to hard rock and everything in between. Not concerned with how long it will take or how good I will be, not trying to join a group or ever get noticed.

Oh, I have also notice my cats don't run and hide when I play like I did when I started, does that mean I'm getting better, wait...scratch that.

Well, that's pretty much my intro in a nut shell. Thanks for having me onboard.

Hi, Jean here. I live in central CA. It looks like I may be both the oldest and only female member here! I am 62 and have played since my teens, but really got serious about 15 years ago. I like all kinds of music and play pop, folk, country, blues, and a little jazz. Just starting to learn some jazz, really, which led to the purchase of my first ever electric guitar, an Ibanez AG75. Have a bunch of acoustics, mostly Taylor's. I've had the Ibanez for about a month and am really having fun with it.

Hello, new member here! And, new to the world of guitars, too.

Yesterday, on a trip into town, on a literal whim, I picked up a guitar through 5Miles. I believe it's a gax70, but the serial number isn't accepted on the decoder site. My concern is that it's a fake, but I can't imagine a fake of a lower end model. Oh well, it's pretty and it'll be a nice way to start...I don't yet know how to play a guitar.

Tonight I'll plug it into an amp and make sure everything works. I'm kinda excited!

Hey

I'm new here and just wanted to introduce myself first.

Just another Ibanez fan from around the world!

I'm hoping I'll be able to fill in all the gaps in my knowledge of Ibanez stuff here.

sentwali, been playing consistenly for less than a year. Just bought a BTB 1606 which was the bass i wanted when I first started on the SR506. Music background in classical music....cello for 12 years, learning piano concurrently with the bass. love to play the music from my parents era...and some reggae. Pretty basic stuff.

Hey all. New to the forum so I figured I'd introduce myself.

From SW Ontario, Canada. Been playing off and on since the early 80's.

Currently, only Ibanez is an '87 RG550.

Howdy Y'all

I have been trying to play this darned instrument for some 40+ years, I'm just one of those poor slobs with no musical ability. But even though I suck at playing I still enjoy noodling around on the guitar. I can fix them and set them up far better than I can play them.Happy

My first Ibanez was a Jem7RB I got from a friend for a cheap in the late 80s as the neck had been broken in shipping. Ibanez would not sell me a neck so I put the pink pups in a custom pearl white strat and sold the body and hardware for what I paid for the busted axe. Cool About 8 years ago I sold off all my 20+ guitars but one, my Yari, and invested the money in my firearms collection. Since the market is flat now without a gun grabber in the Whitehouse, I am spending extra money on guitars again. I just picked up 2 Ibanez guitars, an AF75 I traded an old .32 S&W revolver for, love this guitar, it plays better than and sounds almost as nice as my old 175 at a fraction of the cost and an as new GAX70 I found in a pawn shop for $75 out the door. The GAX70 is a fantastic guitar for the money and will be a great base for a bunch customizing, plus I just like the LP double cut styling. I'm going to go totally out of the box with all new electronics, add some Filtertron style pups with coil tapping and make a brass nut. I know it is completely off the wall.

Hello Everyone!

There's a used AM83 (Artcore) on the way, and that's puts me back in the Ibanez fold. My previous Ibanez was an SR four-string bass model. It's good to be here!

I am new to the forum and very much enjoying my new AG75BS guitar. It is amazingly easy to play and the tone is outstanding. I have been playing it through my Peavey Classic 30 1996 tube amp on the clean channel and it just sounds so incredible. I can honestly say, when I am playing vintage blues they sound best through my Ibanez over my Fender American Series Strat. It must be the hollow body and the quality of the humbuckers. I have always enjoyed the tone of ceramic pickups. Call me crazy. I plan to play this guitar for my set at the local blues festival next time it is in town.

Thanks for the forum.Clap Hollowdan
