I have a new AG75 that got a great deal on (it was returned by buyer and thus sold as used, though near Mint). I would like to be able accent my playing with tremolo and I was hoping there is a wammy bar assembly that will fit easily so that I could swap the tailpiece out. My second choice would be a more ornate tailpiece. The guitar plays and sounds great as is, but I would rather do a visual upgrade-- it's all for fun, right? I am a vintage blues player. I play this Ibanez and two Strat, along with a 000 Martin when I play acoustically.

Any ideas for the wammy? Thank you!

I would consider a "bigsby style" tremolo that fits in the same spot as the tailpiece. Ibanez actually makes one that they use on some of their other models:

Part #: 2TM1H1SC

If you do change out for a tremolo tailpiece, you'll also want to get some sort of roller bridge. This is the Ibanez branded one:

Part #: 2GB1H1FTC

Gosh, Bill, thanks for that really helpful and expert input. I just love the guitar and can't believe the tone. The action is amazing. Thanks for the great advice. Dan

Wow,

Thank you for pointing that out! I believe the back end(with the screw holes) is the same size on both. So yes, I would recommend the 2TM1H1FC instead of the one I listed above. The 2TM1H1SC I posted is meant for semi-hollowbody guitars that have a black of wood running through the center.

You'd be better off getting your vibrato from Bigsby instead of the copy from Ibanez and getting the bridge from someone else as well. The Ibanez copy is not so great and the bridge was junk. Good guitar but the hardware isn't so great.
