Hello,

I need to replace the middle, treble, and volume pots on a GTA15R guitar amp. Does anyone have a parts list for this amp or know what pots I need to buy?

Thanks,
Michael

Hello Michael,

I have done some work on solid state amps, but never had to replace any pots. I would like to know what is wrong with your amp. I'm asking, because if the pots just sound scratchy you may not need to replace them. You just need to be cleaned them with an aerosol electronics contact cleaner.

Follow all safety instructions when working on electronics; like make sure the amp is powered off and unplugged from the wall socket. Also try doing a Youtube search on how to clean Potentiometers before you try it. If you do not feel comfortable doing this take it to a repair shop.

Below are links to two products that should work, but I have not used these myself.

I looked through the Ibanez parts site and could not find anything. If you really do need to replace them you'll have to check the back of the pots and see if there are any letters or numbers on them. For example common pots for guitars will have B500K or B250k stamped on them, but your amp will have different values for each pot, i.e. volume, bass, mid, treble. You also need to know the type of shaft, size, and length. Once you get that information you can do a google part number search to find a supplier. You can also try this site; they might carry what you need.
