Ael2012 bridge too high

Hi guys, I got an AEL2012 in a trade. Lovely guitar but the action is quite high. Almost unplayable past 7th fret. Was just going to lower the saddle a bit more bit its already quite low. If I lower it any more the strings will sit in the wooden slats on the bridge which I dont fancy.

Has anybody got any thoughts or ideas on how to lower the action a bit more. I neef about 3mm or so.

Welcome to the forum,

It is difficult to tell without the guitar, but you might need to adjust the relief. If you have too much relief that would account for high action. If you are not comfortable doing that then take it to a guitar tech and have them setup the guitar.

Also you might try a lighter gauge strings, that would have less tension on the neck.

On the extreme you might need the neck reset. Below is a link for more information about neck reset:
