Well, the wrongs have been righted!

The only small change I made was to put a D-Activator in the bridge instead of a Blaze. That's just what I felt that it's better for a more "balls & chunk" metal sound. It's gonna sound wicked when I get my Jemini pedal hooked up to it!

My wish is that Ibanez would bring back some of the other colors of Universes from the past, like the white one and the green one. Either that or offer another color. I would love to have a Universe with the maple board and inlays like the UV777GR has. I love my Universe (the model currently available) but I love the look of maple boards.

Is it an ATD or MKR, any info on this guitar would be greatly appreciated, like year, model.... I`ve owned it for a few years now. Has a seymour duncan invader and a dimarzio deactivator, I do have the original pickups.

Thanks!!

I have Ibanez Universe with serial 000016, i wonder does this make this guitar rare and are there any collectors interested in these first editions?
Thanks in advance BooHoo

Is this UV7BK rare? Does serial number affect price for selling guitar, and is there any collectors who buy first editions of (UV7BK) guitars based on serial number?
. This guitar has some minor scratches but overall in good condition. Serial is 000016.

Is there a wiring diagram for the early UVs with the old 5-way switch? My green dot's dead in the water, and I need a simpler diagram to make sure I did it right.

That's definitely an ATD, no doubt about it.

The UV77MC's were only made from 90' to 93', since it looks to have a Lo-Pro, it's most likely a 91', 92', or 93'. For more info, check the catalog link in my sig.

Hey guys, I'm selling my UV, and would it make sense to swap out the original edge 7, with a LoPro edge?

That gives me a warning bell ringing, that guitar has probably been stolen. What other reason could there be for someone to remove the serial!?

Maybe that the guitar is not original?
Do you know if there are some chinese replicas on the market?

There's a lot of different chinese fakes out there. They are usually very easy to spot though.

Thanks for the nice comments guys. Long story short, I sold the UV on the 'bay months ago. Needed the $ to finish my custom Jem, and start my I&W JPM project build.

Hi guys,

my dad called my attention to this Ibanez Universe 7BK on this buy and sell website here in the Philippines and I'm thinking of purchasing it.. I'm not that knowledgeable with the Ibanez Universe line so maybe you guys can help me out if its authentic or not.

Here's the link:

The vendor is charging around $812 for it.

Thanks a bunch!

Nothing looks out of the ordinary, at least to me. Looks like it needs a bit of TLC though!

I have a XV500 Guitar and wondering if anyone knows the price I could sell it for? There are two small chips on the two of the points but other than that sounds great and all original parts. Any help would be appreciated. I think it is one of around 600 made in 1985.

Thanks again
