For those of you who have the MTM2 can you post a pic?? I just want to see a pic from someone that owns and not the nice polished pics Ibanez puts up. If you could I would greatly appreciate it!

I was thinking of picking one up at my local store, but its kinda messed up . Its not like there's lots of dings but there's 2 on the back (very small). I am yet to try it as I had to rush out to go to this show thingy after I tried the ESP Laiho sig :p. I'll see if I want it, if I do get it, I'll get piccies up :).

The strings were shot though but my store threw in two sets of GHS Boomers for free. I noticed that the pickups sound pretty thin when palm muting but are ok otherwise. Can't decide on which ones to put in.....EMG 81/60....EMG Kerry King with the 20db booster.....Seymour D's Blackouts....or the Seymour D's Livewire Heavy Metals. The latter having the highest gain out there and are real screamers. I wonder if there will be any conflict with the input jack when you switch it out for the battery one? Anyone know? I am big on Death Metal/ Metalcore. I don't solo much but do alot of palm muting. Any advice? Right now I play through a Marshall Valvestate 2000 100watt with a Boss Metal Zone. I used to run a Crate GX130C head and matching cabinet back in the day and miss that rig alot. Thanks.

Unless you really like the treble side of things, I'd suggest a passive Dimarzio pickup set for that setup... it'd contrast better with all the treble, and sound nice and chunky palm muting

Marshall and the metal zone means a fair bit of mids and treble, so putting those EMGs,or the livewire will just pump up the treble... If you wanna stick active,an EMG 85 bridge puckup would do well... never actually heard a Blackout,so not too sure about them....

the mtm1 black will should be on sale for the mass for 2008. it's shown on the NAMM show along with mtm2. the red mtm1 wasn't show cased though.

pertaining to mick thomson, he came up with his own signature amplifier from rivera. rivera KR7. check the videos out..

Hey guys, this thread is ancient. I'm contemplating getting an MTM2 and now I'm worried as I've heard some less than stellar stuff in this thread. I've owned many Ibanez guitars including an Ibanez Power that I sold and want to Wall for doing so.

Anyhow I'm wondering if I should go with this one or the RGT6EXFX instead. I just hate the inlays on the RGT6EXFX. I like no inlays. Why don't companies *****ing listen to what people want. We don't want lame ass inlays, LOL.

Anyhow, contemplating this MTM2 or the Xiphos 7, whenever that's available. If anyone has any detailed pics of the MTM2 I'd appreciate it.

there are no springs in the cavity of the guitar. it's a fixed bridge with the added benefit of locking. read the Ibanez spec page. it lays it all out quite simply

Slipknot is metal enough. I have a friend who got inspired into listening to metal by me - he told me Korn and Slipknot were gay - I said, do you listen to them, or do you listen to what real "metalheads" say? I listen to them both, and love them both - "the only rule to being a metalhead is that there are no rules to listening to metal" is what I always say. I can't stand Duality - I like Heretic Anthem, Disasterpiece, People = poop, Eyeless, Sic and Pulse of the Maggots. Before I Forget is decent.

His guitar is pretty bad-ass. I have never seen a red color like it on a guitar - not shiny, but matte, with black binding - how darning badass can you get!??!?!
