No, they're not mine. It would nice if they were though!

The acoustic model is the PGA1000. (Available in Marine Blue and transparent Red.) They're one of the rarest models behind the PGM700 and PGM600. They were made in 98', but weren't available worldwide. --Jason

Guilty....they are mine.

Yes, the F-Holes have the magical mojo happening for sure.

The blue and red acoutics are PGA1000's. Ibanez made them briefly when
"To Be With You" was an international hit. Thus, in fact becoming the
true first signature acoustic....not the Euphoria (Vai's green
acoustic). And, yes, even the acoustics have F-Holes. They are on the
bridge.

thanks for the information you guys... but i guess i wont be able to get one for myself coz from what Jason says.. they weren't available worldwide and also rare... it would've been great to have one though... maybe if i get lucky and someone would sell theirs to me... but the chances would be very slim i guess, coz it's really a great acoustic-electric... same with the PGM700... that model reminds me of another Paul... Paul McCartney's Hofner Bass. don't get me wrong but i really love that violin shaped guitar! it's very classy... whelp... i guess the two F-holes on the PGM series guitar stands for the Fast and the Furious!!!

It's funny cuz certain models seem to shop up in bunches. I got bith
the acoustics in the same year with in months from each other. Then
I've seen 3 700's in a short time as well as a few 600's.

The 700 is exactly that, based on Sir Paul McCartney's bass.
I think it was Rich Harris that jokingly said "Never offer Paul Gilbert a signature line"

You can argue the Jem has more all based on the RG, but Paul goes for
different models with his features incorporated (F-holes, single
volume, no tone, etc)

i like the PGM100 best among the three of Jason's collection. shark tooth inlay and of course the floyd rose tremolo...

Musicology one on one:

'something to discuss on the thread... could anyone here explain why all PGM designs doesn't have tone control? i'm sure Paul Gilbert already answered this already but i can't seem to find any Q/A discussions about the technical specs with the design of his guitar over the web.

------

i've noticed that Prestige Ibanez have different logo

they don't have the check mark on their logo anymore and replaced it with the prestige text on top. Now, since PGM's doesn't have any prestige logo on their headstock does that mean that they're below prestige level?

Paul mentioned he never used the tone control so he just eliminated it (similar to EVH).

Most, if not all, signature models get the Prestige treatment.
I've got my PGM also, a beautiful PGM500CA model which just screams when played. Love to get a 10th and a 90th (well, one of each would be nice) so we'll see what the future brings.

Hi all,

I need a second opinion for this PGM30 on ebay. If any of you guys could help me with the information necessary to take into consideration it would be of great help before i buy it. is it worth buying it for the priced asked? I've asked the guy for the Serial number to verify if it's really a Japan Made and he gave me just these F9907xxx and told me that he can't reveal the whole Serial Number for some reason. here's the link,
