Other than a 2003 PGM30, I wouldn't buy. The 2003 has the EdgePro trem and a Prestige neck.<br>
<br>
Not sure, but I think all 30's are were MIJ? They are just equipped with sub-level components (TRS trem, for example)?<br>

There are some PGM30's that are Korean. I've tried to pin down the specfic years, but&nbsp;not enough have shown up to say for sure.&nbsp; All of the MIJ guitars serial number will start with a "F". The Koreans will have either a "W" or "C".&nbsp;Average price on a used 30 is in the $500-$600 neighborhood. I paid less than that buy it now price for my 301. If you have to have a 30, try and hold out for an 03'. Like Eddie said, they've got&nbsp;better hardware and tremolo options than the other 30's.&nbsp;--Jason <edited><editID>JasonK</editID><editDate>2006-7-12 11:7:49</editDate></edited>

<P>Jason/EKG - you know so much about the PGMs - I think my PGM30 above was made in 99. I am not up with the various trems - can you tell which one is fitted from photo and why some are better than others?</P>
<P>&nbsp;</P>
<P>Thanks for your help</P>

<P>Roland, If you PGM30 is a 99', it has the Lo TRS tremolo.</P>
<P>All PGM30's made&nbsp;through 02' have the Lo TRS. The 2003 models got the edge pro. All 2004 and newer have the edge pro II.&nbsp;</P>
<P>The LO TRS aren't made as well as the Edge bridges. They're made&nbsp;with cheaper materials, thin base plate, and don't have hardened knife edges. They're VERY prone to loose tuning stability as the knife edges are worn down. </P>
<P>The edge pro and edge pro II are both based off the Lo Pro Edge design. Both are improvements over the TRS. The edge pro is basicly a freshened up (and slightly downgraded if you ask me.) version of the Lo Pro Edge. The edge pro II is a cheaper version of the edge pro. --Jason</P>

<P>Hi Cireficulnatas,</P>
<P>&nbsp;</P>
<P>Thanks for your comments.</P>
<P>&nbsp;</P>
<P>Yes Paul signed them personally - doesn't come out too well on the photo but the 900 and the 500 are also signed. Got the 500 signed in 95 at a clinic and the rest at a clinic last year. Didn't have enough hands to carry the 100 and the 30!</P>
<P>He also signed a huge Laney banner and titled it - 'To Roland - the King of PGMs in Glasgow' which really rocks and has pride of place over my Laney half stack (I managed to buy the Laney 4x12 speaker that he actually used at the clinic that night)</P>

Yes. It just keeps getting delayed. Since I don't have the time to sit
down and do it, I am having someone create it using my direction. It
will see the light of day.<br>

<P>Hi the1st_fret,</P>
<P>I would bid for your PGM guitar if only it was other than PGM301-WH model. we have that&nbsp;model available here in the Philippines and as much as possible i want to own&nbsp;first hand PGM's but unfortunately we only have PGM3-WH and PGM301-WH here that's why i&nbsp;need to have some luck on getting other model series on ebay or other auction sites. <IMG src="smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0"></P>
<P>by the way, i hope you don't mind me asking but why are you selling your PGM301-WH i mean that's a great guitar and all? in fact i'm getting one for myself. <IMG src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0">&nbsp;a bit costly here but worthy investment nonetheless. <IMG src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0"></P><edited><editID>cireficulnatas</editID><editDate>2006-7-19 9:3:30</editDate></edited>
