I saw a BTB300 listed in our local dealer's catalog, probably a 2005 model since that is the only year it was available (at least according to the hoshino parts page). Here are the specs according to harmony central:

Available Finish -BKF Black Flat

Body Material - Mahogany

Neck Material - 3pc Maple/Walnut

Neck Scale/Type - 34"/Bolt-on All Access

No. Frets/Type - 23/Medium

Fingerboard - Rosewood

Inlay - Pearl Dot

Bridge - Mono-Rail II

H/W Color - SN

Neck Pickup - PFRN Passive Full Range (Ceramic Magnet)

Bridge Pickup - PFRB

EQ - EQ IIB 2-BandActive

Controls - Volume, Balance, Treble Boost/Cut, Bass Boost Cut

Is it really mahogany? It's just that it's strange seeing mahogany being painted over with flat black. Since it is no longer on the official site, I couldn't tell how much of those specs are typos. Has anyone owned this bass?
I have the BTB300BKF serial W740384, made July 2004. I bought it for $199 at Guitar Center, Yes the specs above are very close,Finish -BKF Black Flat--Body Material - Mahogany--Neck Material - 3pc Maple/Walnut-- Neck Scale/Type - 34" Bolt-on-- Frets/Type - 23/Medium--Fingerboard - Rosewood--Inlay - Pearl Dot-- Bridge - Mono-Rail II H/W Color - Neck Pickup and Bridge Pickup -- Humbucker (Soap Bar style with the two metal dots, cool lookin) Passive Full Range EQ - EQ IIB 2-BandActive--Controls - Volume, Balance, Treble Boost/Cut, Bass Boost Cut, Nuitrick input jack.

I am in the process of upgrading the tuners to Gotoh Black, New Black Knobs, and Med DR HighBeam strings, and thinking about putting Bartolini pickups, setup drop 430. Hope it becomes a beast!

I'm glad to read these specs, because I had no other information other than the model number & knowing mine has PFR pickups (like the SRX models).
