You've got to upload it to an image host like photobucket or imageshack, then just copy the little URL code it gives you for forums. :)

Here's my SZR i know that strictly speaking it's not an SZ, but it did replace the SZ's

I am really really diggin' those SZ 320's in black with the chrome pick-up surrounds. Really slick, handsome looking, no nonsense axe <thunmbs up>

Thought I'd bump this topic with the latest incarnation of my SZ. :)

It's now sporting an EMG 81TW in the bridge and a 60 in the neck.

I really think this guitar is a modder's dream come true. It's gone thru so many transformations in my hands.

Next up: Black Tonepros studs, Black Grover Locking minirotomatics and a black toggle switch. :D

Hello ladies and gentlemen, now an owner of an SZ (always wanted one). Just picked it up on Thursday (yeah, I know walking into the guitar store while waiting on friends was a bad idea. Naughty ) Picked this up for $249. EMG 81 & 85, really nice condition, pleys great.

I am not really digging the creme pickup rings with the EMGs, I may switch them back to chrome eventually. Next time I change strings I am going to swap the 81 & 85 around, try that out.

Enjoy!

Sweet. Nice sleek look. what is the black tape on the strings behind the bridge for?

I really dig those GT versions of the SZ too, I'm getting GAS.

Here is an updated pic of my SZR 720BB with some mods ..The wiring is totally different to the original. It now boasts wilkinson WVC zebras, with Independent volume controls and a push pull coil splitter on the master tone and an orange drop cap. Sounds awesome.

Thanks, Bigneil. :)

The tape is to mute down he ringy noises the strings make over there when you palm-mute and on the stop riffs and whatnot. I think it's a pretty common issue with high-gain and low tunings. :)

Really good lookin bunch of SZ's, I got this one about a month ago. It's been played hard.
I understand why, lotta low end chunk from the thick mohagony back and it's also got the
real maple cap....about 3/4" thick. sn. WZ21xxxx If you look hard you see a beastlike creature in
the quilt, lovely guitar indeed.

Wow, that is super sexy. I always get bummed when I remember Ibanez killed off the SZ line. I have a SZ520 in blue that I adore.

Yeah man. I also prefer the look of a flame maple top to quilted maple top.
Which is a bonus with the heart beat inlays.

on an electric guitar that has both emg's and good acoustic properties, this dampens vibrations that you wouldn't want the emg's(or other actives of that caliber) to pick up on when using a healthy amount of gain as it can make for more noise than you might want

I've been an ibanez lover for a while. I've always played RGs and love them but I saw this SZ520 on CL the other day and got it with a case for $225 this past weekend. I love this guitar. I've been wanting a LP style guitar and when I saw this on CL I figured I could get the sound of an LP in a Super Strat style Ibanez so I went for it. Did I get a good deal on this guitar? I am not that familiar with them. I actually love the stock pickups but I know that I can tremendously improve the sound with an upgrade here. What do you SZ experts recommend for new pickups to get that 80's rock sound... I am thinking the LP guys like Randy Rhodes, Zakk Wilde, Slash... etc? Any other upgrades recommended?
My new SZ520

There was a small type-o in were the photobucket links were placed, so I corrected it. Great pics of some amazing SZs you've got there! Clap I personally have always loved quilted maple tops more than flamed maple tops. You have some great examples in the purple and black SZ520s, killer quilted SZs, which always amplify my love for these SZ520QMs.

But the most amazing SZ in your collection is your SZ720 (IMO). The flamed top on that is just amazing, and the binding only enhances the beauty of this amazing guitar. I wish I could finally get my hands on a sweet SZ myself.
