mah first artcore, came with the normal tools, booklet(normally its a 1page manual), tags blah2x

uncleaned, unprep'd out of the box look..









this switch is a bit alright, its still got to go!



all the bindings have this wavey look to them, kinda like an ivory look to it



yummy back



mahogany - maple- mahogany neck



neck heel binding



how big is it? see..



adjustments to be made
-> switch and nut setup..thats about it 9/10!

thanks guys, this guitar is a real treat, i was always liked the artcore models but most of the stuff i like was 800$ + models, finally there's one within the budget and also has alot to offer!

@ibanez mods and agents :), the only thing i didnt agree was the switch, most of the box type 3 way toggle switches even from the early modes dont have much of a smooth feel to them,

even on my art2ex1 i replaced them with this (probably made in china) but they work and feel alot better



price wise the box type switch is around 7$ and the 3 way toggle switch above i see some for 2.99 shipped,

the nut setup was ok out of the box, its a mater of preference at most..i like to setup mine really well (cant mention another brand name here lol)

i'd like to see more artcore models coming out :)

OT: i'd like to see a semi hollow version of the art100 lol

You do realize that there is a reason encolsed box switches are used on full and semi-hollow body guitars... I think the OEM switch is fine. I won't bother to replace it unless it fails. If that happens, I will replace it with another box switch. Allparts sells one that feels really good and works well. I don't know who actually makes it for them though. The Allparts item number is EP-4366-000.

Annnd to me that is the most amazing part of the whole thing. On a lot of websites like this people tend to push for "more and better" but when the manufacturer responds all the talk turns into a bunch of nothing in actual sales. This seems to be exactly the opposite and I'm glad to see it happen. I suppose if this guitar becomes a common item market apathy might set in, but you never really know until you try.

tracy, what reason would that be?

it is fine if one doesnt use it alot or too often, it doesnt feel as right for doing the stuttering effect with the toggle switch

the prs hollowbody II i tried didnt have a box switch, ill try to experiment on the effects and what not
