You may have noticed that we’ve made some changes to the Ibanez Forum. Over the next few days, we will be making additional changes to enhance your experience on the forum. We encourage you to poke around, see what’s new, and if you notice something not working the way it should, post it here (please do not start a new thread).

Some observations and thoughts...

I get "Access denied" when trying to see this "moved" post:
http://forum.ibanez.com/...h-would-you-prefer.aspx

After logging in you're not taken back to the same place you've been or where you were trying to go (quite common with forum software, it seems, at least by default).

I think the white background is too bright, and the design in general unattractive.

Too much spacing and padding between and in elements. Much more scrolling. At least on 1024x768.

Agreed on the design - Poor layout. difficult to read, use quickly. lack of obvious "new" posts in a topic. Dates should be dates, not "a day ago" or "a month ago". Nuke blue is hard on eyes, when used against white. odd icons form web "standard"

On posts - too much left hand column space - Use fixed vs percentages.

Just a few suggestions ... that said, glad the forum is here, a wealth of info.
Too many, guitars, way too many pedals, some amps. And still can't play to save my life. But I try....

Its different for sure, only time will tell how the masses like it. I like the colors but do agree that the left side if it can be changed should be smaller. Other than that Rawk and Roll....
The most powerful forces in American life, are forces that are not voted in and out of office every two or four years. And it represents a belief that Americans must force that reckoning by themselves. No politician will do it for them. Those instincts are exactly right, and we’ve never needed them more than today.

Thanks for the input folks! I should mention that the old "Active Topics" link that showed all posts since your last visit can be found under "My Topics" at the top right of the page. Also, check out the "Shout Box" at the top of the main forum page ;)

If you use Firefox, you can use a plugin like Adblock Element hider to remove most of the padding and spacing from the new look (which is a bit cluttered looking and distracting). It's what i've done.

It's hard to read and something about the blue is irritating on the eyes.

spaceangel makes a good point about the white........maybe a bit more of an "antique" white? (see what I did there?)

Keep the input coming guys. We hear you about the layout/color and will put that on our list. Other than layout/color, anything else spotted?

And I think it's too much empty spaces especially in "signature' section - but not under all profiles. Hibidy's sig is ok, but my or Brian's - there is a useless empty space under the signature, hard to red + signatures looks bigger\brighter\more eye-catching than the posts, IMHO
p.s. "Post" button under the "fast answer" is too little :-(

The look and feel can be tweaked.
We're looking more for functions that do not work, to make sure there are no issues with the software itself.
But thank you for the comments so far!

When I try to send a PM I'm told that the recipients inbox is full. When I try to send an e-mail I get an error.

Is it just me?

I received buddy requests and tried to accept them but I can't tell if it worked.

I could not send a PM until I deleted all of my messages.

I like the look though. The extra space makes it easier for me to read.

A bigger default text size would be nice.

Starting to look much better around here.

Good luck with the changes. They can be pretty tough.

I found the e-mail notification function not working when 'watching' a topic.

EDIT: This was probably my fault, I just saw that notifications were turned off by default. Just changed the setting.
