The forum has been so boring, I had to spice it up. Was out of town and a store offerred to order me one next week to pick up when I pass back through. They got word of a new AM!!! I am waiting to pull the trigger on a transparent red sunburst AM93. Whaaaat! Just like the AYS they belive, but do not know if it is chrome or gold hardware. I would prefer a 103/205 or 500 version. I will wait to see what else NAMM reveals, but at least there is promise of a drop dead gorgeous red AM in my future! MERCY

PS. you have to admit the forum has been a little on the dead side lately.Happy

I don't know about the others but I have been busily playing my AM93.

Red Sunburst is my absolute favorite guitar color though.

I here what you are saying Tracey. My AM93 is right by my side playin a tune whenever I am home. Still have not changed that plastic nut out. The darn things sounds so good. I will take it on the road when I get around to changing that nut. I am hoping for the SS models and a higher end AM this weekend. But like we both have said now,... Transparent Red Sunburst is going to be crumdilyumptious!

Hi everyone, I am new to the site but have been reading a lot lately, and I DEFINITELY gotta to get my hands on one of these! I am merely waiting to find out what the new color looks like...then I will choose my weapon and get a great deal on what seems like a great guitar! Unfortunately the GC nearby doesn't have one in stock to play, but I have played every other artcore they've had and liked them all (even without the custom 58s)! Hope to be posting again soon with good news and pics!

Wow thanks for bring this to my attention!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When might this be? All I need is a few months and I will have the funding for an AM93TRS. The AYS is absolutely stunning as I have officially seen one but didn't want to try it because I knew what would happen. I have higher priorities at the moment.

And I am busily playing my AM50 and AM73.
I'm a two AM'er with an AS93 and Rock my Blues with Ibanez.

At least not yet anyway.

Should be announced at this weeks NAMM. Available sometime in February/March. The only TRS I can find is on the current issue lefty AF75. Put that finish on a quilted top and wow what a great looking guitar that will be. More importantly, with S58s, what a great sounding guitar that will be! Hopefully there will also be a 103/205/ version, but I dont know, just guessing there.

Have any of the Moderators seen one yet??? Is the wood grain visible through the finish or is it like the AS93BLS...proper lighting required to see the wood grain.

Raguse, should be like the 93ays. very easy to see through and appreciate the figured grain. I will get one, but it looks like this is the only ray of sunshine this year.

I am ABSOLUTELY getting one of these! Even though I am expecting my new AWD83 to be arriving Monday! I just found a deal that was too good to pass up, and I really wanted one of the AWD series! I'll try to post some pictures as soon as she gets here, and I will definitely be pulling the trigger on a brand new AM93 TRS as SOON as I can!!

Sam Ash has it listed on their web site for pre-order. If I don't get one for my birthday next week - or at least a card or something that says one is on order for me, I will be calling Scott B. at Sweetwater to order mine.

Well Happy Early Birthday Tracy. What better gift could you give yourself than the AM Guitar you have been waiting for.

It's OK Matthew, what is important is our voices were heard. I wish I could afford one of each but I prefer the TRS. I have seen an AYS I need to see the TRS before making a tough decision.

Hope to have some pics up a little later. bear with my pc challenged but.

Let me say it is drop dead gorgeous. The gold hardware does not look as bad as thought on it. I think chrome/nickel may look even better. It is a brighter red than what is posted in this thread and on the web. The web picture of the af75trs is almost spot on. Look at the picture and you will see my curiousness about the chrome. Anyway, let me try to figure out this picture nonsense. While I am at it, i will post my other Af and AM headstocks with the grover imperial tuners. I promised those pictures sometime ago somewhere on the forum. So while I am trying to get my pc groove on I will post all of them here while I (If) I can.

The word I got from my IBBY connection out west is that the AM93 is off the charts hit and the TRS is building momentum further having had the AYS to get it going. OOHH! AM103/205, I see my future! hope!

I knew it would be.

The Ibanez AM guitar did not do as well as you would have thought it would back when it was first introduced in the early 80's. No one really knows why. It was a great guitar from the start but it was probably just ahead of it's time. I had a very strong feeling about five or six years ago that the AM's time had finally come... I was right.

Newbie butting in - how about doing some polls? Here's one..."What is your String Gauge?" Or maybe "Who's your Favorite Guitar player?"

Just a thought. It might be fun.
