My dad got this guitar from a guy that owed him 300$ back in the early 90's, and not being able to play guitar anymore, passed it down to me. He doesn't know anything about the guitar, but I was wondering if anyone could help me with Identifying the specific model and any other information on it. It's all original ass far as I know. And how much is this guitar worth??
I am new to the forum so I don't know how to insert pictures. So if you guys have the patience, I'll explain it top to bottom.

The headstock has Ibanez on the top in Mother Of Pearl, but does not have the design I see on most models. It has the normal nut cover, that says Artist. There is minor dings exspossing wood on the edges of the headstock (does that depreciate value by alot?)
The tuners are gold like the rest of the hardware and are stamped on the back with Ibanez Smooth Tuner II.
The serial number is D870002
Crafted in Japan.
The fret markers are dots.
It's a set neck.
The top of the body is bound in yellow.
The guitar itself is black.
The strap pins are a unique V, and are also gold.
Original Ibanez pickups.
The knobs are Amber Speed Knobs with the Ibanez Sure Grip. Close examination shows that the inside of the knob is stamped Ibanez Sure Grip II.
The tone knobs are also push/pull.
And it has the Ibanez gold one peice bridge.
Hopefully this is enough to help ya'll give me some information. Once I figure out how to post pics, I will. Thankyou, and if you have any more questions, I'll be happy to answer.

The serial indicates an April 1987 made artist, there is no 1987 artist in the online catalogs but looking in the 1986 catalog, my best guess is an AR120! You said that the headstock didn´t look like the ones you use to see on artists, then maybe its a Terrada made AR guitar, they have even more narrow headstocks than the ones seen in the 1986 catalog.

Take a look for yourself in the catalogs and maybe you can interpret what you have. Otherwise pics would really help!

The art120bk in the 86 catalog looks exactly like mine. Its even missing the design on the headstock. But you say mine wasn't made by Ibanez?

I said that your guitar may have been made by the Terrada factory!
Ibanez didn´t have any own factories back then, they "hired" factories to build their guitars.
At the time your guitar where made Ibanez switched from the fuji gen factory to the Terrada factory for building their electric guitars.
Nowadays it may be that Ibanez have their own factories, i don´t know but i suspect that the Chinese factory that build the artcores is their own.
