Hey folks, im a new proud owner of a Ibanez Gio, its was a bargan on a classified site here in Portugal, i boughted for 40€, the painture was a mess, i have a friend that is a Automobile paintor and he did the job for a free beer, i´ve chosed the colour of my car A honda Civic Coupe Black, at the day light it made a lot of colours from brown gold and black. the wirin it is all new, and it have 2 push pull pots, one makes a split coil on the humbucker, and the other gives a direct bypass trought the jack and all the puickups in all positions. the pickups used on this project are a Entwistle Humbucker X2 on the bridge and in the midle and neck the XS62 set.
I dont have pictures before.

Looks really good man! I believe I have the same guitar, I bought it as a project guitar. Do you know much about it? I seems like the only model I see is Z99 and the place where it is normally it is blank. Appreciate it!

Looks like a GRX40, or another model very close to it (same basic H-S-S configuration, and same basic body) -- and from what little I can see of the serial number (looks like it starts with "Z000..." -- can't zoom in to see it more clearly) it's possibly an early one made in China in 2000.

Tuners look different from my GRX40 so either someone switched them out or it's a slightly different model that came with different tuners.

Originally it probably would have had Powersound pickups.

Looks like you may have shaved the heel of the neck? And the edge of the body (on the back) looks a little contoured -- not that way on my GRX40.

Nice job on the guitar.
