I am the original owner of a AW-30 that I bought in 1979-1980 at Perry Music in Villa Park (Chicago).

Where is my serial number if it's not on the sticker inside the guitar?

I uploaded a couple pictures.

That print on the neck block looks an awful lot like a serial number to me. Seeing as how the first 2 numbers are usually the year or production, this seems to line up!

Thanks Bill, I was hoping that was the case.

When I bought it I was told they were still being hand made by the guys at Ibanez, but I'm not sure what is hype and believable???

I am trying to value my AW-30 because i want to sell it to someone that might appreciate it.

I am looking for a good thinline acoustic/electric to update to.

The dreadnought body of the AW-30 doesn't fit my body, but it sure sounds good.

Its tough to say the value of it, since there aren't many in circulation on ebay. I usually try to check out the sold listings on ebay to get a good idea of what people have paid recently.

The closest model I found was an AW80 from the early 80s that sold for $450:

I'd assume you could easily get $200-$300 and depending on the condition and if you find the right buyer, perhaps up to $500.

Hope this helps
