This is a Roadstar PRO540P model from 1987:

Looks to be the original case for it too!

Thank you for your input.

I think its strange that the headstock dont say Roadstar Series, is it not?

I don't think it is strange at all. During the late 80s, Ibanez did a bit of changing and the headstocks on the Roadstars were one of the things to change.

This catalog page from 1986 shows the older roadstar models with the older headstocks. These would have said "ROADSTAR SERIES" or "ROADSTAR II SERIES" or something similar at the top.

In 1987, the headstocks were starting to change, but they still sported some sort of roadstar print on them:

In 1988, the pointier headstocks stayed the same and the print change to just have the Ibanez logo:

It definitely doesn't surprise me that yours was made in 1987 and doesn't have this print since the change was likely gradual. Some guitars made in 1987 likely had no roadstar printing as they were making the change into 1988.

Hope this helps!

Oh it does.

Thank you so much. I work at a pawnshop and most likely this guitar will come up for auction here. I allready lent money on it but I have a feeling it will turn up for auction (Thats what happens here if people dont bring their stuff out).

If it does show up for auction its always more fun to be able to give the new owner correct information.

Once again thank you.

Best Regards
