The d'addario exp11 (12-53 80/20) came on my ac400ce. I want to switch to the exp16 (12-53 phb). The phosphor bronze have four more pounds of tension than the 80/20. Is that a big enough difference to have to adjust my truss or is it not even a problem?

Hello solus667, and welcome to the forum.

I can not say for sure how much your relief will change when you change from 80/20 to PB. You could measure the relief prior to changing the strings and then measure it after changing them. If the relief has increased and you don't like the play ability you can tighten the truss rod about a quarter of a turn and check the relief to see if it is back to when you had 80/20s on the guitar.

Here are some helpful links on adjusting the relief:

If you still don't feel comfortable doing the adjustment then you will have to seek professional help.

I hope that helps,
RIX
