HI, I am new to the forum and picked up this '77 Iceman in basically a shamble state. I have been working on it and finally got the neck and body parts glued up. Its been holding with the new nut and strings on. Hoping someone can help me with some questions.

Is the bridge adjustable? The action is really high and before I sand down the nut more, adjust the truss, I want to see if I can adjust the bridge.

Also, anyone know what size the jam nut is on the original pots?

I have played it a bit and wow, this thing smokes! It has the flying fingers pickups and through my Fender X2, it is sounding sweet!

Cheers!

This original Gibraltar bridge is definitely adjustable to change the height. This older model may have gotten tight/oxidized so it may not be easy to adjust. I'd use caution when adjusting this since it is older. This is the manual page for this specific bridge:
http://www.ibanez.com/wo...B161022_gibraltar08.pdf

I would first check the neck to see that it is adjusted correctly. After the neck is good, I would get the bridge in the right "ballpark". Once your action is pretty good and your neck is good, you could check the nut height to see if you need to file it at all.

Hope this helps,
-Bill

Hey Bill!

Awesome, thanks for linking the pdf. Will work on it later tonight.

Thanks for the quick reply.
