I managed to unthread the truss rod adjustment on my GSA60. The strings are way above the fret board, so it's unpleasant to try to play. I tried so much fiddling to try to get it re-threaded. What should I do with this? Replace the neck? What necks would fit?

(My last post about it.)

Though truss rods can be repaired, the GSA60 is a pretty inexpensive guitar. it might be best to shop for another one.

Necks can be replaced but again, the GSA60 is a rather inexpensive guitar, it might be best to shop for another one.

Whether you have the truss rod repaired or decide to replace the neck, the cost to repair your GSA60 might be pretty close to the cost of simply buying another GSA60. Unless you can find a used one pretty cheap that has some other problem. In that case you could make one good guitar from two broken ones.

Thanks, at the advice of a friend (more familiar with these things) I ended up doing just that. And now I have spare parts.
